Countywide time on the market was 3.5 months, according to O.C. broker and market tracker, Steve Thomas. With 102 residences listed in the broker’s MLS system and 40 new transactions in the prior 30 days, the resulting market time of 2.1 months is 40 percent shorter than the countywide buying pace.
Pricing may have been a factor – at $482,500, the Fountain Valley median price was 13.5 percent pricier than the countywide median of $425,000. Last year, the homes in Fountain Valley were 18.3 percent more expensive than the Orange Country median price.
